This training will explore the importance of organization at all levels of an incident response during a wind-driven brush fire emergency.

The destructive potential of wind-driven brush fires in the Los Angeles region has never been more evident. Whether caused by natural forces, human negligence, or criminal and terrorist acts, these large, dynamic fires require preparation and coordination from every agency and every firefighter. Successful outcomes are achieved when firefighters and fire companies are proactive and effective in their assigned roles, being guided by Leader’s Intent and maintaining appropriate accountability to their supervisors.

The lesson introduces these concepts in preparation for a hands-on drill.
