This course focuses on the risks emergency responders can face when encountering airborne hazards and how to reduce or eliminate that risk. It highlights the use of the most common respirators used to filter and purify the air being breathed or to provide a safe, secondary source of breathable air. Topics include an overview of respiratory hazards, the use of respirators, and the regulatory requirements emergency responders must comply with on hazardous scenes.
