Safeguarding events through effective and efficient pre-planning and operations is an important duty for fire service members. Interoperability between departments should be a priority, and requires building relationships between law enforcement, fire, and other essential partners.

This lesson will help fire service members identify gaps in event preparedness, recognize principles of effective and efficient pre-event plans, understand their roles and responsibilities during an event, develop an appropriate approach to events, and elevate their situational awareness.
