This Vista Forge Los Angeles / Long Beach (VF LA/LB) online seminar is part of a regional training program based on a national-level exercise. The goal of this online seminar is to provide a foundation of knowledge for first responders and other personnel within public safety agencies regarding nuclear yield detonations and the roles of key stakeholder agencies.
This approximately two-hour seminar will also include an overview of the Los Angeles/Long Beach region, a brief discussion on nuclear threat actors, the science of nuclear radiation and protective measures, and FEMA’s framework for organizing a nuclear response.
