This course explores the tactic of transitional attack.
Transitional attack has been developed from improved knowledge about how structure fires develop and grow, and is one of the most useful tactical approaches for structure firefighting. Effective use of transitional attack requires a clear understanding of conditions on the fire ground and relies on firefighters who are skillful and precise in performing exterior water application.
This lesson introduces these concepts in preparation for a hands-on drill.
