Cyber infrastructure reduces physical weak points and allows for a great deal of plasticity, reliability, and automation. It also introduces new weak points that are less visible and more technical, such as software or cybersecurity vulnerabilities. The solutions to any system failures are still based in maintaining good interpersonal relationships—knowing how to recognize and pinpoint a problem and knowing who can help and who to call.
This lesson will help fire service members recognize the potential for communications system failures and make appropriate decisions if any issues arise.
